Mrs. Lichtman Bio

YBH is proud to have Mrs. Natalie Lichtman begin her second year as General Studies Principal at YBH. Prior to joining the Yeshiva, Mrs. Lichtman was the Associate Principal of the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy. In that position, Mrs. Lichtman supervised the elementary school General Studies program and mentored a large faculty. She was responsible for initiating and coordinating a number of ground breaking initiatives in curriculum, and spearheaded the school’s award as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Prior to her tenure at JKHA, Mrs. Lichtman had an extensive and multi-faceted career as an Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant in private practice and a Reading teacher in the New York City Public School system. She holds a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities from Teacher’s College, Columbia University, and holds multiple teaching certifications in New York and New Jersey. As a life-long learner, Mrs. Lichtman has continued her professional development at intensive Principal seminars given under the auspices of the Lookstein Center for Jewish Education and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
